Previous Career:
Ten years of marketing and advertising for Cadillac and Saturn. After my twins were born, I became an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at a community college to keep my mind fresh despite changing 16 diapers a day.

Highlight from My Last Career:
Marketing the first electric car (EV1) and supervising a ground breaking TV spot with Pixar studios. Unfortunately the car, while loved by its limited number of owners, was ahead of its time.

Best Things about Reinventing Myself:

Starting a new chapter in my career as a freelance writer in Park City, Utah. Feeling strong and empowered enough to try any new sport and succeed. Discovering yoga and the sense of balance and inner calm it provides. Proving that 40 is the new 30!

Favorite Style of Writing:
Personal essays. A chance to express my voice on a subject that I am passionate about while engaging the reader and providing a laugh or two in the process.

Hobbies:
Raising boy/girl twins and watching them develop their own distinct personalities (and idiosyncrasies!)

Sports:
Downhill skiing, skate (Nordic) skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, hiking, mountain biking, road biking, kayaking, yoga and Pilates (OK, so I don’t like to run or swim)

Favorite Season:

Winter

Favorite Phrase:
“Your story idea is perfect for our magazine!”

Why Editors Should Hire Me:
I try to make their jobs easier by providing unique story ideas, clearly outlined and delivering polished work before deadlines.
